Out of desperation to blog, I confess, I go through hundreds of blogs every week to rob some ideas! And many a times I realise what a safe position I have placed myself in by naming the blog, My pursuits! Meaning to say, have I had it under any particular label, say, Fashion, Home Decor, Cooking or so...this space would not have seen any more than 5 posts. I have no interest that persist for a while.
Having said that, I see awaiting weekend and then the Friday bliss is a popular blog post for many. I decide to borrow the idea and put in here!! Post a wonderful picture, something which pictures how i would wanna spend my weekend, Filmy kind, you know. But here is what normally happens.
Friday Evening: I start to ping P around 6 in the evening, asking when he would come home. I tell him I dont wanna cook anything. A very understanding husband agrees that we get Papa Johns Pizza.
How uninteresting is that. How can he be this understanding? " I dont want pizza", I say. " Ok, let me come home and we will decide' he says. Terrible...I wanna fight over something. So finally by the time he comes home, I put up a face and say I had the left over as I was too hungry. He still orders his pizza that pisses me enough that I decide not to talk to him that night!
Saturday Morning: Reality strikes me during early hours of the day. I was being mean I agree and I patch up! We sit down with a cup of coffee each around 12 in the afternoon and I with no shame whatsoever eat the same Papa Johns Pizza. " Half of Saturday is gone, We havent done anything productive". I say
"Lets go to Newyork" says P. Damned, he is very understanding. What do I fight over?
So we go to NY, roam a bit, I complain about the city being dirty. However spend sometime here and there and get back home! A good finish to Saturday mostly is a good movie.
Sunday: Gets up at 12pm! I regret all the time that I wasted until then. And P sits down to read an article. A seven page article about Narendra Modi on a Sunday afternoon. I totally forget what hes upto when I am engrossed in watching 4 Weddings on TLC. As the break hits, I ask him to stop reading! And when I reach a stage of saturation with TLC and Food network, and when P gets done with all online activities that he can, we finally go to the Indian Street and concludes the day with some yummy Dosa at the Dosa House and I have a good time listening to the guy across the table, who whilst enjoying the curd rice, bores his friends talking about the book he is planning to write!!! End of weekend!
Here's another weekend:) I wish I have a similar one for I love living life with its simplicities like this than a fantasy retreat!!
